Sunday started with a small delay due to van problems and getting the targets to the range. The least said about the van the better. The wind proved interesting, though thankfully the rain stayed away. The C&D final was an interesting affair as both Tom Diggle and Ian Henderson where in contention to win the series with only 2 points separating them. Tom shot 608.9 to put him first, with Robin Shand second and Gad Habiby third. Ian Henderson came in fifth. So the C&D 2017 series went to Tom Diggle.
The A&B final was another interesting event because the series leader Ruaraidh Macleod did not qualify for the final, however Neil Stirton did, but he would have to win the final to snatch the series from Ruaraidh. Lenny Thomson and Jim Main shot well and Neil had to work hard, but in the end he took 1st place from Jim by 0.7, with Lenny in 3rd place. I look forward to another exciting competition next year and hopefully even higher entries than this year. Please encourage all prone shooters to enter as this event is open to all levels of shooter.
