The Air Rifle Grand Prix series moved to Carlisle on Saturday 8 January. There were 14 competitors.
Lesley Stewart had a good shoot in her qualification relay with a score of 619.6. However, she had an extra shoot as well and managed to shoot exactly the same score of 619.6.
The class winners received tins of pellets as prizes care of RWS.
Class A: 1st Lesley Stewart, 2nd Ruth Mwandumba, 3rd Isabel Stark
Class B: 1st Richard Townsend
Class C: 1st Lilly Brechin
Class D: 1st Ruth Love, 2nd Finlay Love
The final saw 2 shoot-offs; one for 7th place and one for first place. With a single extra shot, 10.1 to 9.4, Ruth Mwandumba took first place and Isabel Stark second. Lesley Stewart finished 3rd on 223.7.
Isabel Stark has now got sufficient points, 42, that she cannot be caught and thus she is the 2021/22 series winner.
