Athletes in action: Caroline Brownlie, Alan Goodall, Aedan Evans, Andy Ralston, Andrew Walker & Emilia Faulkner.
Starting with the ladies who were strong over the course of the 3 days with 5 finals between them. The competition was predictably strong and saw the Scottish Junior and Senior Ladies doing well. Emilia shot an amazing 540 which was a personal best in both 40 & 60 shots. Emilia then bettered this on day 2 with a 542 equalling the Scottish junior record set by Kerstin Dodd at the Carlisle GP last month.

Moving onto the boys, although there were no finals for the Senior Men, due to the very high standard of competition including Brazilian Olympic medallist Filipe Wu, all shot consistently with most of the shoots finishing in the top half of the table.
Lastly and certainly by no means least, Andrew Walker also shot a personal best in the week of 551 which far exceeded his previous personal best. A nice birthday present for Andrew who just turned 15, Happy Birthday Andrew!!
In summary, the Scots put in a typically solid performance with the vast majority of shoots landing within the top half of the table, demonstrating the determination and dedication that typify Scottish pistol shooters.
Next competitions. Grand Prix 5 in Elgin this weekend (11th Feb) & The STS Air Championships on 10 and 11 March.
