This year's event was held at a new venue – The Crags in Edinburgh. We had about 50 competitors from 10 years old up to… veterans. A new format this year meant the Junior Championships were held on the Saturday and was our biggest class but we need more junior boys as the girls outnumber them by 8 to 1! Aedan Evans won the Junior Men and Emily Shawyer narrowly beat Katie Knowles to take the Junior Ladies title. We also ran a Ladies and Men's competitions and squeezed in finals.
On the Sunday we held the Ladies and Men's Championships. Katie Knowles shot a PB of 374 and then took the Ladies Class in the Final. In the Men's event, Nick Pye took the Championship and received the Resident Scot Prize. Anton Tomove took Silver and David Owen took the non resident scot. In the Inter-Country event, a Scotland team of Aedan, David and Katie beat the England team of Anton Tomov, Vicki Tripney and Iqbal Ubhi.
The final event was an Air 50 Competition where 8 teams fought for the medals. In the end Andy Ralston and Aedan Evans took the gold beating David Owen and Janis Thomson in the shoot off with the first team to gain 5 wins.
The tetrathlon element of the competition saw participants shoot 5 shots on 3 Pony Club targets and 3 ISSF targets. We held a two-handed class and a one-handed class with Seona Scott taking the two-handed prize and Kerstin Dodd took the one-handed trophy.
