The 2024 Scottish Open was held at Jubilee Range, Blair Atholl from Friday 14th June to Sunday 16th June. With the entry list filling up far ahead of the deadline, 70 competitors were looking forward to a packed three days of shooting over both short and long ranges.

Extremely sad to share the news regarding the passing of Colin Oswald from Joint Services Pistol Club (JSPC). He’ll be sorely missed by many, such a great guy and a massive loss to everyone that had the privilege to know him.
Cawdor Rifle and Gun club received an invitation from the 3rd Scots, sniper platoon to enter a open competition at Fort George and the Tain Air Range to consist of three days of shooting in various sniper oriented competitions commencing on November the 29th.
In the 50th Year of the match against North Island, New Zealand (albeit we missed two years with COVID), the Kiwi team managed to complete the double once more, winning the Senior and Junior matches, both by relatively small margins this year.

STS are now inviting applications for the Scottish Smallbore Junior Squad (Under 21). The Squad trains over the winter months at the Balerno and Currie Rifle Club in Edinburgh with training sessions scheduled for November, January and February over a full weekend each month.
