Scottish Target Shooting would like to bring to the attention of our members an exciting opportunity for coaches aspiring to work in high performance in target shooting. Following what was a very exciting games for British Shooting, attention now turns to Tokyo and beyond. British Shooting are very happy with the progress that has been made and recognition must be given to the many people across the system that have contributed to the immediate and continued success. British Shooting truly believe there is much more to be done and are extremely excited by what the future holds.
Growing and improving the talent pathway is one of the cornerstones of British Shooting’s performance system and high quality coaching is a critical element within this to produce Olympic medallists. As British Shooting look to the future, they seek to continually identify and support emerging coaching talent on their journey to coaching excellence.
Below is a link to the ‘Next Generation Talent Coach’ course booklet. The booklet will help explain the purpose of the course, who it is aimed at, what prospective course members should be willing and able to do, what the programme involves, what they will get out of it and finally, the next steps.
British Shooting are targeting coaches who aim to develop athletes within the Olympic disciplines across pistol, rifle and shotgun, and who have aspirations to support athletes who are recognised as potential to become world’s best athletes. British Shooting have stated that in order to deliver a quality course, numbers will be limited to approximately 12.
