Target Technique - Baptism of Fire

The weekend was a ablaze with Target Techniques maiden competition Baptism of Fire!  Competitors came from as far as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Halkirk. Surprisingly despite the recent lockdown there were 7 new shooters to the scene also making their debut in the shooting world.  The youngest shooter 12 year old Debbie Bexley from Forres , won 20 shot and 40 shot in C Class, whilst octogenarian, Richard Townsend from Edinburgh won the 60 shot in the same rifle class. Not many sports can boast such age equality!


The top prize winners, were Nick Pye, Pistol shooter from Tayside Airgun Club with a score of 568/60 shot match.  Target Techniques own Lauren Rogers (30 yr old) Rifle 588.0.  The junior record is held by Hamish McDonald (15 years) Pistol shooter 539 and Cullodens Sam Johnson (15 years) Rifle shooter with a score of 569.2. The excitement hits town again with the Scottish Target Shootings Grand Prix 1. The first of a 5 series National event in early October.
