The Scottish Long Range Championships 2024

The Long Range Championships were held on the West Atholl Rifle Club Range, Glen Tilt, Blair Atholl on the first weekend in June. Attended by around 19 target rifle competitors and 2 FTR shooters.

The shoot takes place over two days with two details of 900yrds and one at 1000yrds on day one and one shoot at 900 yrds finishing with two shoots at 1000 yrds on the second day. Whoever arranged the weather deserved the biggest prize as it was a beautiful weekend with winds being slightly trickier on the second of the two days of the competition.

It would be fair to say that Angus McLeod had a good weekend as he won all but one of the TR prizes, with Kenny MacDonald keeping him from a clean sweep by winning the Marjorie Keir.
