STS Issues Full Guidance for New 5 Level System
STS can confirm that we have now updated its guidance in view of the new Protection Level system implemented by the Scottish Government on 2 November. Attached is the latest full set of guidance notes and we have also updated the homepage of our website.
With this system replacing the previous 'Phase' approach adopted by the Scottish Government it meant we needed to overhaul our guidance to ensure references and links were up to date and accurate. We have refreshed the whole document so would recommend individuals re-read the sections relevant to them.
The regional approach taken by the Protection Level system will allow for a more localised response but it will also create its own challenges. We will all need to be even more vigilant about changes in areas relating to where we live and where our clubs operate. Non-shooting guidance, such as travel and transport, will have a big impact on the ability for club members to reach clubs so will undoubtedly impact on whether clubs can and should open, even if they have all the mitigations in place and are allowed to open.
These will be challenging times but the shooting community has shown, and continues to show, great resilience. We will continue to work with you and offer support to ensure we all get through this but if there is specific support you need from STS, then do please let us know.
As and when further announcements are made, we will continue to keep members in the loop and update our guidance as and when changes impacting on our sport require this to happen.
We hope you stay safe and well.
